ABSOLUTE SILENCE: A GAME ALBUM
PRODUCTION
I independently designed and developed Absolute Silence in about two months using the Unity engine.
THE GAME
I describe Absolute Silence as an experimental album of abstract lo fi games.
This is a collections of short games I made between January and February 2016. During development I experimented in using mechanics in an abstract, often vaguely non-objective-oriented way, and replicating the flow and pacing of records by using interaction rather than music.
RECEPTION
"[...] Many of them do have a musical component but it’s supposed to be the mechanics rather than any audio that creates the flow. With that being the case, the album could be said to be a dreamy, contemplative series of stops and starts—sometimes exhausting, other times frenetic with energy before tapering off." - Kill Screen
